Papaya is one of the world's fastest-growing mobile game companies, providing entertainment for millions of players across multiple apps. 

We are seeking a talented and experienced IP & Corporate Counsel to join our fast-growing AMAZING legal team. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a wide range of legal matters, with a focus on intellectual property, corporate, and commercial related matters. You will work closely with the various stakeholders, advising on strategic business initiatives and managing external legal counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Handling, drafting, and reviewing regulatory filings and corporate-related documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in various jurisdictions.
  • Advising on corporate compliance to ensure alignment with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Managing the company’s IP portfolio, including handling the submission of trademarks in various territories.
  • Providing legal support on intellectual property matters, including the enforcement of Papaya's IP rights across different channels (app stores, social media channels, etc.).
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, services agreements, and NDAs.
  • Managing relationships with external legal counsel.
  • Overseeing risk assessment and proactively identifying legal challenges that could impact the business.
  • Collaborating with multiple organizational functions to support legal matters.
  • Drafting internal legal reports, presentations, and documents to support executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • LL.B. degree and a valid attorney license.
  • At least 4 years of experience in intellectual property, corporate, and commercial expertise.
  • Experience advising high-tech companies – Must; gaming industry experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with commercial agreements and corporate aspects – Advantage.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning skills – Must.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex legal matters.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the company’s best interests.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High-level proficiency in English (spoken and written).
