Papaya is one of the world’s fastest-growing mobile game companies, providing entertainment for millions of users across multiple apps. The company is headquartered in the heart of Tel Aviv. We are looking for a talented Head of Product to join our Platform Division.

As the Head of Product – Platform, you will lead a team of 10-20 product managers across multiple platform domains, including backend services, data infrastructure, payments, game economy tools, meta-features, live-op tools, personalization, and more. You will work cross-functionally with company leadership, engineering, data, and game teams to build a scalable and robust gaming platform that powers our games and player experiences.

This role sits at the intersection of technology and gaming product management, requiring a deep understanding of platform design, live operations, player engagement, and monetization strategies. You will work closely with engineering, design, game studios, and business teams to develop a scalable, high-performance gaming ecosystem that enhances player experiences and drives business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Platform Product Strategy—Own the roadmap for our gaming platform, ensuring it supports the company’s strategy and business goals.
  • Platform Development & Optimization – Drive innovation in areas like game services, meta-features, matchmaking, analytics, payments, player accounts, monetization, back office and live operations.
  • Scalability & Performance – Ensure the platform supports multiple games seamlessly and millions of players with high availability and performance.
  • Tech & Product Synergy – Bridge the gap between technical platform capabilities and game-specific needs, enabling studios to build engaging experiences efficiently.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Utilize analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing to optimize engagement, conversion, retention, and monetization strategies.
  • Lead and scale the Product Team—Manage and mentor a team of 10-20 product professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Cross-Functional & Collaboration – Work closely with company leadership, engineering, data, and game teams to align product initiatives with business objectives.
  • End-to-End Execution – From ideation to launch, drive the product development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable impact.
  • Stakeholder Management – Interface with company executives, game studios, and operational teams to understand needs, prioritize projects, and drive buy-in.
  • Stay ahead of Trends—Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor advancements to maintain our competitive edge.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with experience in the Gaming industry or mobile apps
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling platform-level products in the gaming or entertainment industry
  • Experience leading product teams of 10-20+ people, including hiring, mentoring, and scaling teams in high-growth environments.
  • Experience with monetization strategies, matchmaking, social features, and live operations.
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines and how platform tools support content creation and delivery.
  • Strong technical acumen – Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand complex technical architectures.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in analytics, KPIs, and player behavior insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with company leadership, game studios, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution skills, able to balance long-term vision with day-to-day decision-making.
  • Experienced in developer platforms, SDKs, or third-party tool integrations.
  • Passion for gaming and deep knowledge of player communities and trends.
  • Experience in fast-growing startups or environments with strong founder influence. 
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
