As the Payments Manager, you will lead the Payments Operations for our online platform, including leading strategies to improve conversion, maintaining high approval rates while lowering fees, dealing with potential fraud, managing the relationships with our payment provider,  and more. You will work cross-functionally with company leadership, Finance & Legal teams, and the Payments Squad within R&D to build a scalable and robust Payments operations and platform that powers our games and player experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive payments strategy that maximizes revenue, minimizes risk, and optimizes the Players experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with payment partners, including payment processors, banks, and payment networks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for online payments and data security.
  • Monitor and analyze payment data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Implement fraud prevention measures and processes to protect the business and customers.
  • Stakeholder Management - Work closely with the Finance, Legal, product, and R&D teams to integrate new payment methods and processors and optimize existing ones.
  • Stay ahead of Trends—Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor advancements to maintain our competitive edge.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payments, preferably in the online gaming industry or other B2C.
  • Experience working for a global company.
  • Strong understanding of online payment methods, technologies, and trends.
  • Experience working with payment processors, banks, e-payments, and payment networks.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for online payments and data security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, especially in a matrix management structure, with the ability to mentor and to motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in fast-growing startups or environments with strong founder influence. 
  • Strong change management skills and adaptability
